Daft stuff to do in the office

Try this next time you're in the office with a few colleagues.

Ask someone to stand at the front and sing (or hum) the theme tune to the Sweeney or Hawaii 5-O

Now ask them to sing or hum the theme tune for Magnum P.I.

It's not easy. Your brain seems to block the possibility of you humming the Magnum theme for some reason.

Many, many apologies to those of you too young to remember any of these cop shows.

When I was in computer support, we obviously didn't have enough work to do (maybe our systems were so superbly built, they never broke down? Unlikely) we even experimented with the themes from Crossroads and Corrie (in those days we called it Coronation Street, and if memory serves, the last time I watched it, Hilda Ogden was cooking lunch for Stan and the bloke out of Hyacinth Bucket's programme). Not the same impact as Magnum P.I., but we were all for variety.

Told you it was daft.

A friend of mine from the 1990s emailed me today reminding me of the silly things we used to get up to in the computer department. Sometimes we did some work.

Let me know how you get on.
